Digital Comms Officer

Job description

A social welfare charity in London, seek an experienced Digital Officer to cover permanent recruitment period.

The client is looking for a solid digital candidate however, will be flexible on the PR and Email experience. They will provide training for this if required. The full details are as follows:


Key responsibilities
Social media management
Grow our base of dedicated volunteers (+12,000) and followers.
Build KPIs for social media reporting (tracking campaigns & conversions)
Develop and maintain relationships with influencers
Support the new brand rollout and compliance
Grow the number of supporters and guests through referrers (online) and PR (local newspapers)
Content creation support: blogs, graphics, gifs
Event-based work to capture stories and material
Developing content which puts us at the forefront within our specialist areas of loneliness and wellbeing
Develop a new PR strategy, which includes:
Local PR: issuing press releases to recruit volunteers in specific towns and regions
Manage print orders and requests for materials from field staff
Manage media queries and chase relevant case studies as requested
E.g. Local press, radio stations, magazines, etc
Develop and maintain volunteer resources for the new website
Work with the new community fundraiser
Downloadable materials (banners, graphics, etc)
Online guides to fundraising (ideas, tips, etc)

Experience:
Experience managing Facebook, Twitter, Instagram if possible, LinkedIn too
Basic knowledge of Photoshop or alternatively Canva, Piktochart or other social media design tool
Experience of working with local PR (press releases) & dealing with media queries - Desirable
Experience with email marketing - Desirable
