Digital Marketing and Communications Officer

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a Digital Marketing & Communications Officer for a national charity in order to cover period of 2-3 months. This will be a varied role, delivering across a range of digital channels. Key areas will include:
Digital content creation including website copy, blogs, podcasts, webinars, videos and infographics.

Key Responsibilities will include:
Ensuring all content is on brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
Ensuring website content is optimised for search and user experience across all channels
Developing and managing the digital plan and content calendar for the charity s website and social media channels
Ensuring compliance with financial promotion regulations, record keeping and quality control measures in keeping with the governance framework for the website
Management of email marketing channel to send newsletters
Management of social media channels eg. Twitter and LinkedIn to include monitoring, reporting and recommendations
Managing digital channels and developing creative approaches to ensure campaign reach, engagement and influence for a variety of audiences from financial institutions to financial advisers
Managing Google Analytics and other social media measurement tools to set, evaluate and report on KPIs


In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Digital content creation including website copy, blogs, podcasts, webinars, videos and infographics
Management experience of email marketing channel to send newsletters
Management experience of social media channels eg Twitter and LinkedIn to include monitoring, reporting and recommendations
Experience of managing Google Analytics and other social media measurement tools to set, evaluate and report on KPIs
Experience of developing marketing strategies from scope to full implementation, including measurement, evaluation and optimisation
Experience of planning and managing the delivery of digital campaigns
Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and best practice in grammar
Creative flair for design
Demonstrable success in improving traffic and engagement levels
Experience of using open source CMS platforms Drupal experience is a plus
Seasoned user of Google Analytics and other measurement software for evaluation and reporting
Experience of using social media management software e.g. Sprout Social
Experience of designing email marketing communications (primarily newsletters) on software such as Mailchimp
Digital native with demonstrable interest in the latest digital developments
Experience and competency in:
Microsoft Office suite particularly PowerPoint
design packages (Adobe Creative Cloud particularly InDesign and Photoshop)
video/sound editing
Collegial, team player
Desirable
Basic understanding of UI/UX principles
Experience of working in at least one of the following: charity and social enterprise sector, financial services or investment management ((in-house or agency)
