I’m thrilled to be supporting a UK focused charity who support people affected by the criminal justice system as they seek to appoint to a senior leadership level Director of Communications and Engagement.
As Director of Communications and Engagement your role will be to lead in the creation, development and delivery of the charity’s external and internal communications, to raise awareness of the work of the organisation, and to promote the messaging and brand, drawing principally on a rolling programme of engagement with people who make use of our services who have lived experience of the criminal justice system.
As a member of the charity’s Senior Leadership Team, and reporting to the CEO, you will work closely and collegiately with key colleagues including SLT colleagues. You will contribute to the overall strategic direction of the charity and provide visible leadership on organisation-wide projects and initiatives.
Line management of a team of three.
The charity- “Our mission is to support prisoners and their children and families to make a fresh start, and to minimise the harm that can be caused by imprisonment. Our vision is of a society in which justice is understood as a process of restoration and healing, in which prisons are used sparingly and as places of learning and rehabilitation, and in which the innate dignity and worth of every human being is valued”.
“We are a diverse, inclusive, modern organisation, with a firm commitment to anti-racist practice and culture”.
REMOTE BASED - An opportunity to work predominantly from home, with 1 day a week in the office in South London.
