Director of Organisational Effectiveness & Finance - Cycling UK - Guildford, Surrey

Cycling UK have done more for cycling than any other organisation in the UK during its 140 years existence. With over 65,000 members and supporters we have helped change the law, improved conditions for cycling and inspired and supported people to cycle. We have always been passionate about the potential of cycling to make cleaner, healthier place to live breath and work for families and communities.

The UK faces huge challenges which more cycling could help fix - air pollution, obesity, poor mental health and traffic congestion. To do so we now need to upskill our SMT and the role of Director Finance & Organisational Effectiveness is critical if our new strategy is to succeed.

You will lead the development and implementation of the financial strategy for Cycling UK to optimise financial performance and support the transformational ambitions and direction of the 2018-23 strategy, this job is the glue between all Directors to help drive the strategic planning and reporting to our CEO and Board of Trustees.

This position is wider than just finance leading a team of 7, covering all internal operations to maximise effectiveness and impact including IT and HR.

You will hold or have held a similar senior Commercial finance position in a charity, public or private organisation and have proven experience of strategic financial analysis and leadership of financial strategies.

A Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification is required for this position.
