Harris hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic international charity in their search for an Interim Director of Philanthropy.

This is a 6 month interim position.

The Role:

  • Lead and manage fundraising activities to achieve maximum income
  • Lead and develop a strategy for attracting and working closely with corporate and high net worth individual donors
  • Work closely with corporate partners and networks to develop and maintain sustainable opportunities for income generation
  • Develop new and innovative ways of raising funds in keeping with the mission and brand
  • Maintain an excellent knowledge of prospective sources of income
  • Manage the Fundraising directorate staff, budgets and other resources

Person Specification:

  • Experience of managing a fundraising team
  • Experience of engaging with and maximising income through stakeholders
  • Experience of team management, able to provide examples of successful performance management
  • Experience of developing and managing budgets and delivering to targets
  • Experience of operating in a pressurised environment with high levels of demand and potentially conflicting priorities
  • Experience of operating within an environment of growth and change
  • Able to give examples of personal success in income generation
  • Skilled networker, able to adapt the message to varying audiences
  • Knowledge of grant giving programmes and trusts and of the associated processes for bidding
