Buckinghamshire Mind has seen significant growth and development over the past five years, publishing its new three-year strategy in August 2021. Our ambitions are bold. The creation of this new role is a key outcome from this strategic planning activity. The postholder will underpin our ability to meet our strategic priorities at a time when ensuring that everyone with a mental health problem gets the support and respect, they deserve is more important than ever.
Buckinghamshire Mind is looking for a Director of Services (Deputy CEO) to join our team on a permanent basis.

Reports to: CEO
Direct reports: Head of Services; Head of Quality and Evaluation; Engagement and Development Manager (Mind in Berkshire); Training Leads (job share).
Salary: £48k per annum dependent on experience
Location: Hybrid working – with a minimum of 2 days per week working from our High Wycombe office.
We are looking for an individual who can contribute towards and drive the strategic development of the organisation, as a key member of the senior management team, embracing our golden threads, Inclusive, Informed and Agile, in all decision making.
The Director of Services must have a thorough understanding of mental health policy and practice; a vision of high-quality modern services; and the ability to engage, enthuse, lead and motivate staff, volunteers, those who use our services and other stakeholders. They must also have a proven track record of senior operational management, managing multiple service functions, supported by volunteers. It would be ideal if the candidate is familiar with the health and social care commissioning system and provider infrastructure.
The role will be far-ranging and impactful. As well as ensuring our operational delivery is in line with our high quality standards the person will also oversee Mind in Berkshire – a high profile, strategic collaboration with Oxfordshire Mind.
