Events Assistant

Job description

A charity based in Crawley, seek an Events Assistant ASAP until end September on a full time basis.

Duties;
To implement and support for fundraising strategies and activities, embracing
the charity's vision and values.
To provide an exceptional level of donor management and care to ensure that
relationships with supporters are maintained and developed to their maximum potential.
To ensure all income is processed accurately, updated and thanked in a timely fashion, in line with appropriate thanking, banking and stewardship protocols.
To support the events fundraising team in planning, organising and delivering costeffective fundraising events and proactively promote event portfolio to
supporters.
Represent at events as agreed by the Community and Events Fundraising
Manager.
Identify and manage specific volunteer roles in order to achieve Events Fundraising
objectives, motivating volunteers through the provision of appropriate information,
briefings and support. Coordinate and manage the use of volunteers to carry out
designated tasks.
To maintain high quality, accurate business systems and processes, supplier
management and documentation, reviewing efficiency and best value.
To ensure awareness of the competitor activity of other charities and report
findings.
To foster positive working relationships with internal and external supporters and donors, patients, carers, families and the general public.

Experience:
Experience of producing written materials to a high standard
Experience of liaising with the public by phone or face to face.
Experience of using Microsoft office
packages and databases.
Experience of fundraising participation or organisation.
Excellent organisational, administrative, planning and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Problem solver and flexible creative thinker.
Ability to use social media
Excellent attention to detail including proof reading
Ability to manage a variety of tasks concurrently.
Ability to update and maintain databases
Ability to report on income and expenditure.
