Events Fundraising Assistant

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for an Events Fundraiser for a health related charity in order to work across the London Community Fundraising team. The role requires exceptional team working, interpersonal and relationship building skills, a high level of numeracy and literacy coupled with flexibility and adaptability.
This will be a temporary contract till end of the year.

Key Responsibilities will include:

To ensure systems are in place and effectively managed including on-line ticket sales and enquiries by phone, e-mail, or web-based systems
To respond to telephone/e-mail/web enquiries promptly: from members of the public, from existing supporters and volunteers, and from other departments within the charity.
To update the online auction site ensuring all items are accurately listed. To arrange the couriering / collection of all items when the auction has closed.
To carry out word processing of general correspondence, letters, memos in the course of the planning and implementation of events.
To enter data into the fundraising database and maintain the database by regularly checking for duplication and ensuring all data is kept protected in line with data protection guidelines/policies.
To liaise with suppliers, venues, event organisers etc. as required.
To undertake any other reasonable duties within the remit of the post and ad hoc projects as requested by London Community Fundraising Manager

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Experience of working on events
Experience of producing accurate reports for managers
Knowledge of budgets/financial controls
Working with internal/external suppliers on print, design publicity and other materials
Experience of working with a broad range of people
Strong organisational skills
Experience and/or knowledge of using the reporting and back end systems of websites
Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritise workload and meet tight deadlines
Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel & charity database management
