Finance & HR Assistant

Job description

Harris Hill are currently working with a great charity based in London, SW1 to help secure a Finance & HR Assistant for 3 months, paying 13.73 per hour.
The purpose of the role is to ensure compliance with the organisations financial processes and procedures (c.80%) and to be responsible for HR administration (c.20%).

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Process purchase invoices, staff expenses and credit card expenditure
  • Maintain the files of supplier contracts
  • Handle and process all petty cash claims in accordance with policy, and ensure these are correctly authorised and reconcile monthly
  • Assisting the Finance Manager to ensure suppliers and expenses are paid on time
  • Responsible for HR administration support, including recruitment administration, holiday, sickness and other absence recording, maintaining legally compliant and up to date HR files
  • Arranging end of probation, appraisal and recruitment interviews

The key skills and experiences include:

  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Be confident with IT - in particular Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Be personable and confident dealing with a variety of people
  • Be able to prioritise and manage a demanding workload
  • Have the ability to be flexible and also be a team player
