Harris Hill is recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for this disabilities charity based in London (Homebased)

- Contract: Permanent Full-time position
- Hybrid Working: 95% of the role can be Homebased if preferred, with the occasional visit to their offices in London.
- Reports to: Head of Finance
- Salary: £47,000pa - £49,000pa

Job purpose
A hands-on dynamic role working proactively with senior managers and directors across the charity to aid transformation in strategic finance activity.

You will assist managers to develop their operating and business case by supplying them with the timely analysis, intelligence, insight, challenge and recommendations they need to make operational, financial, and strategic decisions to help drive performance and achieve the strategic objectives and contribute to the strategic direction of the business.
The post holder is responsible for their own workload. Using own initiative to support strategic objectives and perform FP&A tasks as generated by Director of Resources and Head of Finance.

The role
Finance lead in complex and varied projects across directorates. For example:
- Data Group board member with key decision-making responsibilities and projects
- Provide evidence to Charity Commission to reclassify use of restricted funds from time to time. Liaise with external actuaries to provide technical analysis in line with Charity Commission's requirements

Lead business partner on behalf of Finance. Includes:
- Build models to support financial planning and analysis across the charity to deliver long term projections to aid directors and trustee decision making. Including building finance models to undertake scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to aid risk assessment and management
- Producing ad hoc reports providing qualitative and quantitate information on a timely basis to Business Partners, Head of Finance, Director of Resources and Senior Leadership team
- Provide financial expertise for funding applications and support colleagues in bids to institutions and philanthropists - keep open book records for analysis and audit of successful bids
- Interpret financial data and concepts to present to non-financial stakeholders

Knowledge
- Commercial awareness and financial implications of plans and options
- Up-to-date knowledge of changes in accounting standards and principles
- Knowledge of the Charity Sector and SORP
- Advanced MS Office skills to Macro VBA level
- Financial modelling skills
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Change management
