Finance Manager

Harris Hill is working with a fantastic Humanitarian Charity to find a Finance Manager to join their team. The role is a 6 month Fix Term Contract. Duties will include:

Key responsibilities

-Working closely with the Finance Director, prepare monthly team/management accounts for budget holders. Prepare consolidated comparative monthly management accounts and balance sheet

-Act as Systems Accountant for ACCESS Dimensions and Focal point ensuring the integrity of the Chart of Accounts. Regularly update Foreign Exchange rates on ACCESS

-Act as Superuser for management reporting and budget templates. Train finance staff and non-finance staff as may be required

-Receive feedback from users and ensure that team/management reports are updated as necessary. Ensure sufficient documentation of user guidelines on the shared drive

-Review templates for donor budgets. Amend or make improvements to templates based on user feedback

Essential skills

-Qualified Accountant CCAB

-Significant experience of preparing multidimensional management reports

-Proficient knowledge of a mainstream accounting system preferably ACCESS

-Excellent Excel skills including Report writing skills in Excel

-Experience of working in a busy finance department. Not for Profit sector experience an advantage
