Harris Hill are working with a fantastic animal protection charity, to find a Financial Manager to join their team. This is a temporary role last 2-3 months. Duties will include:

Key responsibilities

To provide support managerial oversight of administration of the UK legacy programme ensuring a high level of probability and transparency in legacy administration and accuracy in forecasting legacy income including checking the accuracy of Estate Accounts with focus on inheritance and Capital Gains Tax enabling income to be fully maximised

To work closely with International Finance department to ensure the timely submission of financial reports and information from the UK Country Office

Provide management oversight of processes relating to the daily receipt of donations received within the UK Office to ensure that these are accurately captured and recorded on the fundraising database

Provide regular commentary to International Finance department including variance commentaries relating to YTD income / expenditure and forecast comparison

Be responsible for legacy Month End income accruals Balance Sheet reconciliations, submissions of legacy tax reclaims R185 (estate income) to HMRC all year Legacy Year End accounting and liaising with external auditors
Key skill

Experience of working with Excel to advance level

Part-qualified accountant or equivalent proven experience

Legacy administration qualification (ILM or similar) or relevant legacy / probate management experience

Experience of financial computer systems / packages

Experience of operating financial processes and procedure essential
