Finance Manager

Job description

I am currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Finance Manager to work for an innovative new national health charity. This is an ongoing part time (23 -26 hours per week) temporary role.

Finance responsibilities:
Ensure appropriate financial controls are defined and adhered to
Maintain the finance system ensuring all transactions are accurate and up to date
Ensure the balance sheet accounts are reconciled on a timely and regular basis
Manage the fund accounts ensuring restricted funds are accurately reported and spent in accordance with the donor wishes
Cash management and regular cash flow reporting
Maintain the asset register
Account manage the bank and other external services as relevant
Provide financial support for the grant giving process
Lead on the development of the annual budget and on-going business planning
Preparation of monthly management accounts and Board reporting
Manage the annual audit including planning, liaising with auditors and co-ordination of the Annual Report
Work with Budget Holders to ensure they understand their responsibilities and assist them with managing their budgets
Assist with grant funding applications and on-going reporting
Provide procurement support to the organisation General responsibilities
Support, and work effectively with, the Operations and Compliance Manager
Essentials:
Qualified or Part-qualified CCAB
Experience of overall financial management of a growing organisation
Excellent organisational skills, including the ability to manage a high-volume workload and manage conflicting priorities
Able to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a busy working environment
Comfortable working autonomously and proactively, alongside being a strong team player
High standard of computer literacy with experience of managing a finance system
