Your new role

You will be responsible for closing the last financial year and getting the accounts up to date for the present financial year (April to date). You will also lead on all financial activities: accounting, budget setting and forecasting, financial management control policies and procedures, gift aid, banking and support donor management activities.

 

What you’ll need to succeed

You will need to be at least a Part Qualified accountant with a relevant accounting qualification, you will also need an excellent understanding and experience of financial planning and implementing systems. Organised and with a high level of attention to detail, you will enjoy managing this function, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

 

You will also need an up-to-date understanding of relevant regulations (e.g. SORP, GDPR) and trends as they relate to charity finance to advise the trustee board and the senior management team in these areas so previous charity sector experience is essential.

 

What you’ll get in return

An hourly rate between £16 - £20 depending on experience and a part remote working option.
