Your new role

As the Finance manager you will be supporting the financial management and reporting and the delivery of consistently high standards of work within the Finance Team. You will be responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and assisting budget holders with project and service budget and account queries. You will also be responsible for the monthly bank and creditor reconciliations, maintaining all bank mandates and managing the monthly cashflow, and preparing regular cashflow forecasts for the management accounts and trustees. You will also be assisting the Director of Finance with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful you will need to be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with strong technical skills and at least three years’ experience in a similar role within the not for profit sector. You will need to have experience of preparing management accounts and statutory accounts under the charity SORP. You will also need to have excellent communications skills as you will leading a small finance team and you will need them ability to advise and influence managers.

In return this organisation offers significant flexibility with hybrid working, a salary up to £44,000 (FTE) and potential for the contract to be extended or made permanent.
