Finance Manager

Your new role

As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for recording all incoming and outgoing financial transactions and all statutory requirements, including payroll, VAT, income tax, national insurance, pensions, donations, legal Aid income and legal disbursements. You will also be maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchase and sales ledger and preparing the monthly reconciliations for key ledgers.

You will be working with the Operations Director to produce, as needed, regular and accessible reports on financial activities, including draft management accounts and supporting the Operations Director to prepare accurate and timely reports, returns and submissions for external bodies, including funders, regulators and HMRC.

Liaison with auditors for the annual audit process and supporting the Operations Director and the board of trustees to prepare required documentation and reports for annual external auditing that meet the requirements of SORPS and other relevant regulations.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful you will need to be a Qualified or part-Qualified Accountant (AAT, ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with experience preparing statutory and management accounts and statutory returns (including to HMRC) ideally within the not for profit sector. You will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and have advanced proficiency with key Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as computerised accounting systems.
