I am delighted to be working with an amazing charity in search of a temporary full-time (will consider 4 days a weeka) Finance Manager.
This is a varied and dynamic role and as Finance Manager you will help set and manage budgets, maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, manage the annual auditing process, and ensure all financial and compliance requirements are met.
With a relevant accounting background, qualified or part qualified studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) or similar and/or qualified by experience, the finance manager will have an excellent understanding and experience of financial planning, demonstrable experience and ability using computerised accounting software/databases, bookkeeping and Excel to an advanced level.
The candidate needs to be well organised, with a high level of attention to detail, be able to communicate effectively with financial and non-financial staff and have the ability to both organise and prioritise your own workload, and work flexibly and pro-actively. Knowledge of charity SORP accounting and experience in a charity setting preferable.
Maintain the Finance System (Xero) to ensure all finance transactions are kept up to date.
Produce monthly management reports
Prepare budgets and forecasts with the SMT
Manage the audit process
Balance sheet reconciliations
Bank reconciliations and cash flow forecasting
Manage bank accounts
Prepare and process supplier payment runs
Prepare Gift Aid claims
Preparation and review of payroll (processing externally sourced)
Stewardship of restricted funds and projects
Review and enhance current financial procedures
Ensure charity policies are up to date
Maintain risk register with support from CEO
All external compliance Charities Commission, Companies House, Insurance, Banking arrangements
Maintain charity records on sharepoint
Minute taking for F&I committee
Maintain and enhance the CRM system Donorfy
Maintain the HR system and employee records PeopleHR
Assist implementation of new systems such as Grants Management System
Liaise with Outsourced IT consultant to ensure systems support secure access, GDPR/DPA2018 requirements, remote working.
