Harris Hill are looking for a Female Finance Manager to work with a charity who does amazing work supporting survivors of domestic abuse.
Their approach to supporting survivors of this type of abuse is holistic and helps to assist the survivor address their immediate safety needs while setting them on a pathway to recovery.

This charity does amazing work and they continually seeking new ways to campaign for those who are currently or have previously experienced domestic abuse, including inter-personal violence, stalking as well as harassment. They are heavily involved in campaigning and they are an affiliated member of national Women's Aid Federation of England (they work to the Women's Aid National Quality Standards).

Changing Pathways is committed to breaking the cycle and impact of domestic abuse, and as such, they will only accept applications from candidates who share the vision and have a feminist perspective to eliminate the unequal positioning of those experiencing domestic abuse.

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven individual who thrives when given the opportunity to take ownership for key operational processes. Responsible for the organisation's financial function, we are seeking candidates with excellent attention to detail and a can do attitude to provide support and guidance on financial matters across the organisation.

JOB PURPOSE:
You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of all the organisation's financial systems including purchase ledger, cash flow, budgets and financial reporting.

MAIN DUTIES:
1) Processing expenditure, income, bank and cash transactions onto QuickBooks accounting software.
2) Management of all bank and cash reconciliations.
3) General filing and administrative tasks.
4) Overseeing and monitoring day to day banking.
5) Responsible for Petty Cash Accounting and Staff Expenses.
6) Collation, obtaining relevant authorisations, and online inputting of payments.
7) Collation, obtaining relevant authorisation, and liaising with 3rd party payroll service provider.
8) Preparation and processing of accruals, prepayments, deferred and accrued income at agreed time intervals.
9) Provision of assistance with the review, updating and implementation of financial policies/procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, accounting standards, etc.
10) Provision of assistance and timely information to the Business Director and CEO in connection with financial review, organisation wide budgeting, income and expenditure analysis.
11) Preparation for review monthly or quarterly management accounts. This includes liaisoning with the management accountant and provision of such

Knowledge and understanding
Excellent knowledge of:
charity finance regulations and willingness to keep knowledge up to date.
Gift Aid and tax effective giving
The Domestic Abuse sector (Desirable).

Skills and Abilities
High level of determination and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities
Ability to work in a flexible and responsive manner whilst prioritising work within a busy environment
Ability to work strategically and contribute to the wider organisational context
Experience of working with a payroll provider to input data in preparation for pay runs
Excellent standard of written work and the ability to write effective commentary to financial reports
Experience of client databases or willingness to learn
Excellent organisational skills with good attention to detail
Excellent IT skills including the ability to use Microsoft Office and donor case management databases
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, technical, and numerical abilities.

Part/Fully Qualified with accountancy qualification or QBE

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (they have a flexible approach to working).

Salary: 33,136 35, 229

Benefits include 25 days' holiday per annum, training opportunities and a work place pension.
