Finance Officer

Job description

Harris Hill is working with a fantastic international health charity based in East London, recruiting for a Finance Officer on a 6 week Fixed Term Contract.

Key responsibilities will include:
Submit a monthly report to the Financial Controller in line with the monthly reporting checklist and timetable that includes monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Update the monthly cash flow with actual income and expenditure and identify and explain any significant variances
Processing all bank and cash transactions and reconcile all transactions. Submitting the bank reconciliation with the bank statement to the Financial Controller on a monthly basis
Prepare financial reports for the UK Office as required for each project and submit to the Financial Controller
Work with the Financial Controller to improve financial systems in the UK office

Essential skills:
Part-qualified accountant in recognised global body e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA
Experience in an accounting role including processing payroll
Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Microsoft excel
Working knowledge of accounting software
High level of English, both written and spoken
