Harris Hill are proud to be looking for a Finance Officer to work part-time alongside a small charity working to enhance the creativity of its patrons.
You will reporting to the senior management team working with a small dedicated team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the full finance function of the Charity and its trading subsidiary, using the SAGE financial package.
**You must have current experience of using SAGE**
The post-holder will act as an interface between the Charity, supporters, service providers and stakeholders on all financial matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounts for the Charity
- Arrange payment of staff salaries, PAYE, NI and pension contributions
- Staff and volunteer expenses
- Ensure all expenditure payments are made on time
- Maintain Direct Debits subscriptions
- Responsible for banking of cash and cheques
- Maintain adequate level of petty cash Responsible for VAT returns
- Responsible for Gift Aid claims
- Preparation of management accounts for the Board and committee meetings
- Preparation and/or review of external funder statements
- Maintenance of restricted funds Maintenance of P&L and Balance Sheet
- Prepare budgets and forecasts and assist CEO with variance analysis
- Manage cashflow
- Manage the annual audit process
- Provide technical advice to the CEO and the Board of Trustees
- To keep up to date with compliance, legislation and regulation and to work within the policies and procedures
- To maintain the Charity's supporter database ensuring accurate records of income and contact details is kept up to date
- To act as a central point of contact for all financial enquiries
Requirements:
- Part/fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/QBE)
- experienced of working in the finance team of a UK based charity
Salary: £30,000 pa (pro-rata) Part Time - 21 hours per week (3 Days)
