Fundraising Exec - Legacies

Job description

A national charity in London, seek a Fundraising Exec to join their Legacies team, ASAP whilst they recruit permanently.

Essentially, we are looking for a solid administrator with exceptional organisational and communication skills. You aren't expected to have any knowledge or experience within legacies but you do not to be eager to learn. Any experience in the legal sector would be advantageous however.

Job purpose:
To contribute to the Legacy Management team's purpose of ensuring gifts in wills are managed sensitively and in accordance with all relevant legislation and internal practices.
With support from the team to manage a caseload of pecuniary legacies kindly left to the organisation.
To provide an effective and efficient administrative support service to the Legacy Management and Development team, enabling them to deliver the charity's objectives
To act as the first point of contact in legacy case matters for organisations staff, professionals and members of the public
To manage conflicting issues of maintaining good relationships with executors and their advisors, whilst ensuring that the best possible outcome for the charity is achieved in maximising legacy income
To ensure the accurate recording and retrieval of data in/from the First Class and fundraising databases, in order to enable it to be used for all dimensions of legacy management and legacy marketing
To provide some administrative support to the Head of team.
To work effectively with other departments in Fundraising and Finance, as well as with other charitable beneficiaries, to maximise income for children.

Experience:
Good verbal communication skills to deal effectively, efficiently and appropriately with internal and external stakeholders.
Well developed written communication skills to understand, interpret and present complex information in a persuasive and accurate way for a range of audiences.
Well developed ability to apply effective numeracy skills in entering and recording financial data in a clear and accurate format to meet desired outcomes.
Able to work with team members and others to achieve objectives through these relationships.
Ability to organise and plan own work in order to meet agreed objectives.
