Harris Hill are recruiting for a Head of Finance for this youth charity based in Croydon, Surrey

The position involves leading on all financial reporting to the Board of Trustees and the Resources and Governance Sub Committee, producing monthly management accounts using Sage.

You will arrangement of the annual audit and liaison and working with the external auditors and response to matters arising from the audit. Be the Company secretary for the charity and advise the charity re Charity SORP and other governance and regulatory requirements. Working with the Chief Executive as part of Senior Management Team contributing creatively to the wider management of the charity.

You will also work with the Senior Management team to draft the Annual budget and forecasts and to keep reviewing these throughout the year. Provide sound advice and financial training to trustees, staff and volunteers. Contribute to the development of new projects and programmes grant applications and look carefully at the financial aspects of these. Keep an eye on Cash flow forecasting. Support the trustees in developing and maintaining the Risk Register and provide advice re the viability of fundraising events and understand Gift Aid and VAT ensuring that the charity has proper advice about income and the VAT threshold.
