Harris Hill are recruiting for a Head of Finance & Operations for this well-established Young People's Charity based in London.

The Charity looks after disadvantage young people from low and moderate-income backgrounds to improve their chances of accessing top universities.

The role of Head of Finance and Operations is an excellent opportunity for someone keen to use and develop their skills and experience in the management of finance, compliance and operations, including HR and data protection. The person appointed will be a member of the Senior Leadership Team with responsibility for ensuring the strategic and operational management of the Trust's finances. The Head of Finance and Operations will also be responsible for line managing the Finance Officer and the Operations Officer.

You will support the Chief Executive, Executive Chairman, Finance Director and Trustees, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, to provide management oversight of the Trust's financial position, governance processes and regulatory compliance. Manage new projects to improve the management reporting systems, controls and processes in use at the Trust to deliver timely and accurate financial support to the programmes, development, research and executive teams to assist them with forecasting, budgeting, reconciliation and reporting.

The position requires you to lead the year-end statutory accounts preparation, audit, budget setting and quarterly forecasting processes. Oversee the Operations function of the Trust and review operational policies and procedures and the HR function. Supporting the Operations Officer in reviewing and renewing the Trust's insurance and the Audit, internal controls, compliance and management reporting systems.

You will be a Qualified Accountant with strong post-qualification experience gained in professional practice or charitable organisation.

The position is based in London

- Salary: 50,000- 60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Hours: The standard working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday
- Annual leave: 29 days per annum plus bank holidays
- 6% employer pension contribution
