The Duke of Edinburgh's Award are looking for a dynamic Head of Philanthropy and Major Giving who has a genuine passion for fundraising. You will have drive to lead a team in a fast-paced environment that is dedicated to gathering the fundraising resources necessary to support our ambitious five-year growth strategy (Youth Without Limits), just beginning.

The role is pivotal to establish new philanthropy funding and major gifts, and build long-term relationships, during this period of exciting expansion. Your focus will be on shaping the strategy for the Philanthropy and Major Giving team to meet income targets.

The leadership role calls for working successfully with established supporters as well as engaging new supporters with our vision, all with a wholistic approach to stewardship of relationships.

As an ambassador for the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, you will attend high level events and meetings, demonstrating our philanthropic ethos and securing fundraising support through a variety of activities.

Key details:

Head of Philanthropy and Major Giving 

Location: Central London (flexibility to work from home)

Salary: £51,418 - £57,074 pa dependent on experience

This is both a strategic and hands-on role and is pivotal to the ongoing success of our fundraising targets and strategies. You will lead and motivate the team to reach their full potential and share knowledge and skills to enable exceptional relationship-building with philanthropists and high-net-worth donors.

You will lead by example and provide a collaborative approach to all working relationships, building outstanding alliances with our benefactors. You will be accustomed to managing budgets and settling robust annual targets for the team.

With a strong track record in a senior fundraising role working with high-net-worth individuals, family trusts and foundations, you will be accustomed to securing new business exceeding six figures. You will have experience in leading and coaching teams, possess strong project management skills, and have a can-do attitude.

Due to the nature of the role, you will be flexible with regular travel and occasional overnight stays within the UK.
