Harris Hill is working with an international welfare charity, seeking to cover an interim Head of Media and Comms, whilst they recruit permanently.

The client is looking for an immediate start, will consider full and part time candidates, as well as offer flexible working arrangements.

Overview from the client:
The Head of Media and Communications is responsible for raising awareness of the charity, it's vision and mission through all external communications channels and methods. The role is also responsible for our Media and PR work working with senior stakeholders to ensure that our communications priorities are adequately reflected across print, broadcast, and digital media. The post holder will work collaboratively across the charity to ensure the charity's brand is effective at and supporting successful delivery of key messages to external and internal audiences.

Experience required

We are looking for an experienced candidate, who has a knowledge of UK media, across a range of audiences, including news and consumer.
You will have experience of leading teams in brand and profile
Experience of developing and implementing strategic communications and media plans that have increased awareness and public perception both with influential decision makers and targeted public audiences.
Experience of working collaboratively with fundraisers to increase income among their target audiences.
Experience of delivering successful internal communications programmes.
Experience of developing and implementing crisis communications plans.
Experience of working with Policy and Advocacy teams to help them to achieve their objectives.
Experience of high-quality reporting against targets for communications, demonstrating impact.
Can work collaboratively, to build and sustain effective working relationships with colleagues and external influencers.
Confident in advising senior colleagues on strategic and operational issues.
Excellent people management skills.
