An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UK’s leading cancer research charity based in Yorkshire. The charity is a leading funder of cancer research in the region and has a track record of supporting ground-breaking projects and clinical trials to help prevent cancer and increase survival.

Yorkshire Cancer Research is entering a very exciting period in its development. The charity has been connected with the people of Yorkshire for over 90 years during which time it has established a sound financial base. Following the commitment in 2015 to invest at least £100m in cancer research and service by 2025 the cancer and cancer-prevention services work has already led to the creation of several pilot and larger scale programmes and they now require talented and motived people to expand and develop this vital work further.

Yorkshire Cancer Research – Head Of Services -Cancer and Cancer Prevention X2

Location:             Grove Park Court, Harrogate. HG1 4DP.Travel across Yorkshire will be required.

Salary:                 £50K + Benefits

Contract:             Permanent or 6 months FTC

The charity is looking for two exceptional individuals to develop, deliver and manage a portfolio of evidence-based cancer and cancer-prevention services.   The post holders will be vital in ensuring the charity meets its ambitious KPI targets that will lead to achieving the goal of saving an extra 2,000 lives a year in Yorkshire by 2025.

These are exciting, and continually developing roles for the charity working in partnership with local authorities, Clinical Commissioning Groups, NHS Trusts, community, and voluntary organisations and most importantly with patients and service users.

To be considered for this position you will have an excellent track record of management and leadership experience at senior manager/team leader level in a relevant environment. You will need to present and show experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships.

You must have experience of implementing, managing, and evaluating a strategic portfolio of health services. It would be ideal for the postholder to have knowledge and understanding of cancer services and public.
