HR Administrator

Job description

Harris Hill are currently working with a great charity based in London, SE13 to help secure a HR Administrator for a month, paying
13.18 per hour.

The purpose of the role is to assist the HR team with the provision of a comprehensive HR service, in particular the administration
of H&S and safequarding checks

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Update personnel files on Breathe inc:

  • current contracts
  • correct leave
  • sickness/absence
  • correct salary/pension
  • update training records


Issue contract extensions and revised JDS to relevant staff.

Implement the Training and Development Plan

  • source training courses/make recommendations
  • identify online programmes
  • establish participation


Link HR systems with Finance systems especially in relation to payroll, pension SSP, maternity etc

Ensure HR process compliant with legislation esp pension auto-enrol, Equality, H&S, GDPR

Establish Induction procedure for all new staff including office policies, internal procedures and special emphasis on GDPR/H&S/Equality.

Liaise with internal staff to ensure the Staff Handbook (staff policies is up to date) and accessible.


The key skills and experiences include:

Excellent, proven administration and organisation skills;
Experience of delivering excellent customer service and demonstrating a can do attitude;
Efficiency, accuracy and attention to detail;
The ability to work with discretion at all times;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Strong IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and Breathe HR to an intermediate level;
Administrative experience within an HR or Recruitment function.
