Income Generation Lead

Harris Hill are delighted to be partnering up exclusively with COSMIC in their search for their new Income Generation Lead. COSMIC supports the children's and neonatal intensive care units at St Mary's and Queen Charlottes Hospitals in London by helping patients and their families, and enabling our dedicated teams to treat hundreds of babies and children in intensive care each year. This role is pivotal in ensuring vital funds are generated year on year.

This new post will see the job holder play a pivotal role in the exciting new growth phase of their charity after its successful merger with its sister neonatal charity in 2020.

You will be responsible for income generation for COSMIC, developing and growing their pipeline of prospects and overseeing a team of 3 to deliver key income targets. Using your skills and experience you will create compelling propositions and lead negotiations and pitch processes to secure new funds and a range of partnerships. A key part of the role will be deputising for the Chief Executive and supporting the development of the strategy.

This role is a perfect step for someone looking for their first mixed income stream leadership role. COSMIC are keen to hear from Senior Corporate Development Managers, Senior Development Managers (Trusts and or Major Donors). The essential requirement for this role is the ability to show a clear track record of successful new business skills within the charity sector.

About you

  • You will demonstrate a good understanding of the major donor, trust and corporate fundraising market trends alongside strong influencing and negotiation skills. 
  • You will be accustomed to dealing with senior level figures and in managing the highest-level relationships between the charity, corporates, trusts, and mid-level and major donors.
  • A track record of securing six figure grants from a range of funders in the following areas - Trusts, foundations, companies and major donors.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, especially around composing compelling funding proposals.

Salary is £40,000 - £46,000
