I am excited to be working with an amazing international humanitarian charity in search of an Income Processing Officer. Your role is to support the Income Processing Team with the data capture of donation responses received from members of the public, predominantly in response to the organisations Ukraine Appeal. The role will also include unsolicited general donations as well as donation responses to other appeals received at this time.
All donations must be processed to a high level of accuracy onto the fundraising database, Ascent, ensuring that they are attributed correctly by donor, payment method, appeal and project code, so they can reconcile the income to our bank statements, ensuring their viability for tax reclaims (gift aid) as well as to ensure that the supporter is appropriately thanked for their gift.

Main responsibilities:
To assist in the opening of donation envelopes, preparing the contents for batching and banking.
To data capture onto the fundraising database, all donations received across a range of payment methods and income types.
To process and donor data amendments and apply any communication preferences as indicated by the donor.
To ensure that the supporter is acknowledged for their gift and to produce any tailored thank you letters.
To be familiar with the rules around Gift Aid and to only capture true and valid declarations onto the fundraising database in accordance with the HMRC rules.
