Major Donor Manager

Job description

A charity based in Surrey, seek an experienced Major Donor Manager for 6 months with potential permanent employment, starting within the next 4 weeks.

In this challenging role, the post holder will need to use their experience and interpersonal skills to forge new supporter relationships and maintain existing ones. We are looking for someone who will maintain momentum with this young, but well established major giving programme. In addition, they are well on the way towards launching a significant fundraising appeal, so there are plenty of opportunities for personal growth and development.

Responsibilities:
To significantly expand major donor base and increase philanthropic income from high net worth individuals.
To develop and deliver a fundraising strategy and plans to meet annual targets.
To personally manage the high-level donors, securing five, six and seven-figure gifts.
To lead on a major fundraising appeal, which will be launched in 2019, to coincide with centenary.
To oversee all relevant fundraising activities, including research and analysis of current and potential prospects, ensuring that activity is data protection compliant.
To add value to the Fundraising team helping to grow income over the next five years.

Experience:
Previous charity major gifts experience (at least 5 years) with a demonstrable track record of success
Experience of working with major donors and dealing direct with very senior volunteers
Experience of producing and successfully implementing a strategic plan
Experience of managing a team of staff, of recruiting new staff and of working with volunteer leadership

In addition to the salary, the client offers up to 5% fringe allowance, free car parking and 30 days annual leave pro rota.
