Marketing and Communications Officer

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a Marketing and Communications Officer in order to lead on developing and implementing marketing and communications plans for the charity employment Working with colleagues across Content, Digital Marketing, Communication and Employment, you will create an identity for the charity new courses and schemes, select the best marketing and communications strategy and channels to reach both youth and adults. This will be a 6 months contract.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Providing effective, tailored marketing support for the Employment Team
Developing a marketing and communication plan tailored to launching our new employment and enterprise offer
Provide insight into the employment and autism markets to support the development of our offer
Working on creating an identity for our new offer
Supporting the wider PR and social teams in developing plans to communicate our offer
Supporting other marketing initiatives and services as deemed fit by the Senior Marketing Manager
Scoping the digital requirements of the project and working with the Digital Project Manager draw this into the website rebuild project
Supporting our attendance at appropriate key shows and events particularly HR and employment events
Project management of the employment newsletter, coordinating data, content and evaluate
Work with the Senior Marketing Manager on national projects such as the development and implementation of an evaluation and monitoring procedure for marketing activities that services can use and the increased utilisation of digital channels and activities.

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:


Solid experience of marketing project/ campaign management.
Creativity an eye for design (including for film and photography), strong copywriting skills.
Excellent communication and writing skills.
Ability to prioritise own workload and manage conflicting deadlines.
Excellent understanding of marketing communications.
Ability to use Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) to an advanced level.
Knowledge in developing marketing plans and marketing communication channels and tools.
Good understanding of social media and digital marketing
Experience writing and managing successful marketing plans
Experience of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Collaborative approach to working; experience of working in cross- functional teams and with multiple external suppliers (including freelancers and agencies).
Experience in the production and process of marketing communication tools.
