Marketing Assistant

Job description

A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Marketing Assistant for an education related membership organisation in order to coordinate a range of activities; primarily events and marketing communications materials and assisting the Marketing Executive with marketing planning and reporting.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Prepare and deliver presentations at events, sometimes to large audiences
Coordinate the planning, promotion and on-the-day running of a series of webinars
Take the lead in organising an annual event
Work with internal and external design agencies to create and update marketing materials both on and offline
Assist with planning an annual schedule of events for teacher recruitment
Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation marketing plan
Carry out basic market research and activity evaluation
Keep data up-to-date using Salesforce

In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Some proven experience of event organisation
Experience of delivering presentations or addressing large audiences
Experience of using standard email, spreadsheet and word processing packages
Experience of working with a range of stakeholders
Experience of working with university departments or teachers
Experience of working with databases
Organisational skills - ability to work with minimum supervision, prioritise workload, and handle multiple tasks
Leadership the capability to promote and generate co-operation so to achieve collective outcomes; fosters the development of a common vision, in partnership with external organisations
Communication skills - ability to express information clearly and effectively in written and oral form in all marketing activities; excellent presentation skills and ability to address a large audience; an excellent eye for detail and an ability to proof read and edit text
Computer literate - good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. A basic knowledge of Salesforce, and InDesign would be an advantage.
