Media and Communications Freelancer

Job description

I am delighted to be working alongside an amazing health charity in search of a temporary Media and Communications Freelancer. This role reports to the Head of Marketing and Communications and working alongside a Media Relations Manager and a Communications Officer, you will need to hit the ground running with several upcoming campaigns and putting plans in place for additional media work to boost coverage. Working towards an ambitious 5m AVE target, this newly formed and busy team needs some temporary additional capacity from an experienced and proven media professional, ideally with experience working within or for a charity.

Objectives
To boost the charity's media coverage, targeting national coverage through product/event/report launches and work with high profile stakeholders
To support media planning and development of the communications library

Duties
Devise, deliver and evaluate integrated communications campaigns including media to launch:
fundraising product with a new ambassador
fundraising event
campaigning manifesto and state of the nation survey findings
Plan and deliver a new Ambassador announcement in the media and across owned channels
Support media planning for the rest of year with Media Relations Manager and Head of Marketing and Communications
Plan and deliver two pieces of media activity, working with existing ambassadors, President or partners
Source, interview and write a bank of 12 case studies for the communications library
Deliver four blogs for the website working with colleagues and external stakeholders
