Media and PR Officer

Job description

As Media and PR Officer, you will join a Charity that explores how diet, weight and physical activity affect your risk of developing cancer.

You will report directly to the Head of Communications and will support the work of both the UK and International arms of the charity, working particularly closely with the Science and Policy teams.

You will identify pro-active PR opportunities for research projects, communicating creatively and engagingly about our scientific research to the media, our supporters and the public. They will also help to identify, interview and write-up impactful case-studies and personal supporter stories.

You and your experience:

Have a keen sense of news, be able to write concise but impactful press releases, and have pitched features that have secured regional or national coverage (traditional and broadcast). You need to be very strong on writing copy that communicates complex topics to a lay audience, as well as having excellent editing and proof-reading skills.


Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum, plus benefits
London N1/Home - This is a hybrid role, with your working time split between your home and 2 days per week in the London Office. Closest tube, King’s Cross.
