Project Manager

Job description

I am currently looking for a Project Manager for an innovative new project. Two of the UK's leading support services are joining forces. The project is driven by acts of intervention and early engagement to help those harmed by gambling.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the project to achieve its purpose and objectives.
Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to
Conduct regular meetings with the staff and service users about service effectiveness and maximise client involvement in service design and development.
Liaise with external support networks, such as universities and research organisations.
Provide HR support and on-going staff line management.
Develop operational and strategic relationship with external partners and stakeholders
Represent the organisation at events, seminars and other meetings


Skills and Experience
Knowledge of mental health or drug, alcohol or gambling support services.
Desirable to have experience in a similar role; managing teams of staff and volunteers.
Experience of helping people to acquire life-skills including budgeting, healthy life choices, employment/education advice.
Experience of working with vulnerable cohorts within groups; mental health, substance use, criminal justice, domestic abuse/safeguarding, homelessness/housing.
Experiences of supporting clients through recovery programmes.
Experience of service design and/or working in a co-productive process.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of safeguarding and suicide prevention principles.
Strong understanding of IT applications.
