Calling all Policy Managers!

Are you an immediately available Policy Manager with a good understanding of of construction, civil engineering and economic infrastructure issues, and looking for your next opportunity?

I am delighted to be working with an amazing international membership organisation, in search of a Policy Manager to cover a period of transition.


Main duties of the role:
Produce high-quality policy and research products, drawing on the organisation's membership and other experts, to support the wider team's policy insight and influencing strategy aimed at key decision-makers across the world.
Provide advice and analysis on political and economic issues affecting engineering and infrastructure development to enable the organisation to remain relevant to external debates.
Support the development and delivery of a rolling work programme of policy content to support the proactive aspects of the organisation's influencing strategy and wider narrative on the role of infrastructure in achieving sustainable outcomes for society.
Specifically, this includes a thought leadership project looking at infrastructure and climate change adaptation and resilience.

Attributes:
An ability to produce clear, concise written material, comprehensible to a non-expert reader.
Experience of carrying out desk research, and running workshops and interviews to gather information.
Experience of writing reports, briefs and other papers for external stakeholders.
A thorough understanding of public policy making processes in Westminster and Whitehall is essential.
A good understanding of construction, civil engineering and economic infrastructure issues is desirable.
A good understanding of climate change policy is desirable.
