PR Officer

Job description

I’m thrilled to be working with a community focussed charity, as they look to recruit their new PR Officer, where you will lead UK wide campaigns, drive awareness of their annual fundraising campaign and join a small but mighty team. You will have a journalistic nose for a story, media relations experience and experience in a PR related role.

You will have the opportunity to collect and write case studies, build relationships with agencies, be hands-on as the key PR contact for the charity and work as part of a collaborative team. 

In this role you will develop, grow and maintain their core PR resources and records, you’ll be the relationship management point for all media case studies and the individuals and projects involved and will regularly interview and refresh content. The primary aim will be to upwardly drive awareness and increase participation in the campaigns and initiatives.

The ideal candidate:

You will have experience in a PR related role and hold media relations skills. You’ll be a dynamic and highly-organised press assistant or officer, looking to take on a new challenge. Good knowledge of the media landscape is required, and experience of building target media lists and developing relationships with journalists essential. 

You’ll be highly organised and able to build and maintain media contacts and manage case studies effectively. A good network of England media contacts is highly desirable.

Salary £24,000

Fixed Term Contract to December 2021

Full-time, 5 days a week.

Based in London, with 1-2 days working from home flexibility. However, currently the team are all based from home until further notice.
