Programme Coordinator

Job description

A charity are looking for a Programme Coordinator to support one of their key educational and youth engagement programmes. Ambassador Programme. You will be their first port of call for the programme, supporting with enquiries and guidance, and ensuring that all activity is being carefully tracked and monitored. You will provide support for the day-to-day running of the Programme as well as an exciting programme of events throughout the year (which includes workshops, conferences and international study visits.)

This is initially a 1 year FTC with potential to be extended/made perm.

Key Responsibilities:
-Maintain the programme database, and track activity throughout the year in order to evaluate the reach of the Programme.
-Ensure that programme ambassadors are fully supported in their roles and are able to reach their full potential within their three year tenure
-Ensure effective and streamlined approaches for administration.
-Compile quarterly reports showing the reach of the programme and their impact.
-Identify and record case studies which highlight the best examples of projects and engagement.
-Respond to phone and email enquiries from Ambassadors, logging all relevant communications/activity, and coordinating relevant follow up.
-Maintain the programme's section of the website

-Work with the Programme Manager to coordinate the logistics of the programme's calendar of events, including the charity's annual Conference, study days and our overseas Study Visits.
-Coordinate Ambassador attendance and participation at events throughout the year and other events.

Skills and Experience required:
-Proven experiences working in a similar role
- Proven experience of working in a busy administrative role
-Excellent IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, online direct marketing tools) and the ability to process and track large amounts of data
-Ability to plan and prioritise a heavy workload and keep to targets and deadlines
-Strong written and oral communication skills, with an ability to communicate with a diverse audience of young people
-Ideally an understanding of youth engagement and experience of working with young people from diverse backgrounds across the UK
-Experience both running and planning community events (desirable)
