Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fabulous charity dedicated to delivering high-impact, volunteering solutions to support some of the most vulnerable people in society.

If you have had previous experience working with volunteers, perhaps as a student ambassador then we want to hear from you! The Programme Manager is line managed by the Head of National Programmes, with expectations of travel across the UK. There is currently one line management report, the Delivery Programmes Administrator. This role will involve recruiting and supporting volunteers to take part in the projects and programmes across the UK. This role can be either based in Central London or West Midlands

The role:
Leading a team of FTV-focused Volunteer Managers across the UK through matrix
management arrangements, in the delivery of a rolling programme of high-quality, full time
volunteering placements in a variety of settings,
Co-ordinating the effective, year-round recruitment and placement of a pipeline of UKbased
and international volunteers, ensuring consistency of practice across the team and in
line with the expectations of our partnership frameworks
To work proactively across the Delivery Department and with members of the Executive Leadership Team in facilitating effective delivery and reporting.
Working with colleagues across the organisation to facilitate the development of new FTV
projects, in line with corporate growth targets and strategies;
Maintain up to date and high quality records of client activity on all internal systems, including FTVD, Raiser's Edge and other purpose-built systems as required.
Key skills/ experience:
Experience of successfully recruiting and managing volunteers in high-commitment,
transformational roles
Experience in building and maintaining effective partnerships with external and internal
colleagues and stakeholders
Effective programme leadership, organisational, facilitation and decision-making skills
Effective line and matrix management skills, gained in a complex operating environment,
with the ability to coach and motivate across the staff corps
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop business with new and existing clients
Excellent communication and reporting skills, verbally and in writing
Strong administrative, IT and financial management skills
An understanding of and commitment to Equality and Diversity practice
An understanding of and commitment to Data Protection and confidentiality
