Programmes Finance Specialist

Harris Hill is working with an International Development charity to find Programmes Finance Specialist to join their team. The role is for 3-6 months. It would be a distinct advantage if you have international experience. Duties will include:

Key responsibilities

Lead/Assist the country office and partner finance teams in preparation of project related budgets and reworking of budgets in keeping with changes in programme plans
Coordinate with Finance Officer of the country office and partner over the financial reports from partners and ensure that they have good accounting practice in place
Preparation of financial reports in line with donor requirements and quality standards and ensuring they are submitted in compliance with donor reporting deadlines
Ensure all country under spent funds are transferred back to UK and properly coded and accounted for by UK finance and reflects on Aqilla database
Assist in providing supporting documents for all grants transactions as required for grant audits
Key skills
Part qualified / Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
Experience in multi-donor funded projects
Familiarity with the compliance requirements of major donors such as DFID, National Lottery Community Fund, Comic Relief etc
Experience in grants, contracts, multi funded budget and partner capacity building
Experience of working with accounting software; good IT skills including advanced Excel
