Project Accountant

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Part Time – 28 Hours over 4 days

Your new role

As the project accountant you will be supporting individual small voluntary, faith and community oragnisations with budget development, management accounts and sourcing independent examinations of accounts. You will also be working with in individual and community organisations to recover the trading and donation income that they have not obtained during the COVID pandemic. Another key part of the role will be to advise on financial systems, accounting practice and budgeting for funding bids and to support organisations to adapt and enhance their fundraising practices particularly in areas such as trading, legacies and donations. 

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful you will need or be working towards a relevant professional in accountancy (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CIPFA). You will also need experience in a similar position where you have provided solid financial information and understand the financial needs of small voluntary, faith and community organisations. You will need to have excellent communication skills as you will be regularly speaking to and advising other organisations and you must have at least intermediate excel skills.

What you’ll get in return

This organisation offers significant flexibility with majority home working and a pro rata annual salary of £31,000.
