Project Support Officer

Harris Hill Charity Recruitment are working alongside a UK based charity who have instigated a unique 1 year pilot scheme to roll out a brand-new intuitive in collaboration with the manufacturing sector.

We are looking for a 'Project Support Officer'. This role is predominantly financially orientated and fundamentally consists of ensuring that the project runs efficiently.

The project is government funded so the financial checks are incredibly sensitive. Understanding financial functions and paying attention to detail are a pivotal part of this role. The delivery time for the project is limited (the end date of the funding is 31st March 2020) so it requires someone who has incredible attention to detail and a strong grasp of financial systems.

This is a vital new role working alongside the Project Manager to support the efficient delivery of a significant grant fund. You will be overseeing efficient financial processes, checking all financial transactions to ensure they are compliant and managing the process by which funds are distributed to the Regional Centres. This will be achieved through process design, implementation and through the use of project management documentation/tools. This role will also support overall programme administration and key work streams that support the wider delivery of the programme.

The successful candidate will have:
- excellent attention to detail.
- project support experience.
- transferable experience of managing and supporting grant funding, compliance & contracts.

As this is a start-up project you will be actively setting up systems etc so you will need to be a problem solver. The final key element for the successful candidate will be communication skills. You will be processing all invoices from the project team and liaising with the Regional Centres.

We are also looking for someone to start almost immediately

Experience

Experience working in a project support/PMO/administration role delivering large complex projects.

Demonstrable and proven track record of supporting complex programmes to remain compliant with external conditions/guidelines.

Demonstrable experience of supporting stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate reports.

Experience managing or supporting the management of project/department budgets.

Previous experience of working in financial role.

OR a proven track record of maintaining databases and processing transactions accurately.


Skills & Knowledge

Accuracy, meticulous attention to detail and excellent project support and administration skills.

Proven ability and experience of designing and following processes.

Basic knowledge of project management principles and theory.

Proven ability to develop and maintain good working relations, both within an organisation and with stakeholders.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good working knowledge of CRM systems.

Highly proficient in Excel and using other Microsoft programmes.
