Quality and Development Assistant

Job description

I am currently looking for a part-time (30 hour week) Quality and Development Assistant for an amazing homelessness charity. The Quality & Development Support team provides administrative and project support to the wider Services Quality and Development (SDQ) team.
You will play a crucial role in making sure that the team has the information needed to identify leads and opportunities, complete tenders and create innovative services to help more people.

Main Objectives:
To provide insight, research, intelligence, knowledge management and communication support to the Quality & Development teams. This will be achieved through:
Identification of opportunities for development and growth in order to maintain the funding pipeline

Supporting Development activity, through:
Completing Selection Questionnaires, Expression of Interest forms, and Invitation to Tender documents
Conducting market research and analysis to support tenders and business planning

Supporting the wider Services Quality and Development (SQD) team by:
Coordinating and writing internal communications in order to share and report upon team performance
Helping to coordinate and disseminate quality improvement work
Supporting services marketing
Participating in wider services projects as required
Setting up and maintaining files and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
Scanning for and researching relevant leads and opportunities in order to identify and share potential development opportunities with the wider team. This includes maintaining accurate information in SQD systems and databases.
Managing own projects and tasks, to support development activity as part of a bid team. This may include:
First stage analysis and evaluation of Tender Notices
Identifying re-tenders
Carrying out research to support tenders and opportunities
Assisting with the compilation of reports and support on compiling information for tenders
Research and data analysis to support evidence and insights work
Supporting the internal communication of SQD team performance and team updates i.e. coordinating content, writing articles and blogs, keeping the intranet page updated
Raising purchase orders and processing credit card spend
Organising and minuting team meetings
Supporting the Quality and Development Support Manager with facilitating the Restricted Income Panel and Contract Approval processes, ensuring documentation is signed off in line with internal requirements.
Production of useful bid support documents e.g. boilerplate responses to bid questions

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Knowledge and experience of project management
Experience of desktop research, data collation and performing analysis
Ideally, knowledge and understanding of the commissioning environment or housing and homelessness sector
