Resourcing Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the UK's leading children's mental health charity based in Central London. The Resourcing Manager (Counsellors on Placement) will manage a team of three Counsellor on Placement Co-ordinators, who will provide upto-date performance data for their regions, including where placements are applying to us from. The team are responsible for ensuring that applicants have a great attraction journey and interviews are arranged in a timely and professional way.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with clinical colleagues to ensure strong relationships are developed and maintained with Course Leaders and Tutors. 
  • Focus attraction and engagement on our hard-to-fill areas, with an aim to meet clinical placement requirements always.
  • Working with the Clinical Learning Team Lead and Safeguarding Team, to ensure induction training can take place on site in some colleges/universities, where we may have a high level of applicants
  • Establish a suite of KPIs for the team - time from an interested applicant is invited for interview, time to go through clearance, time from being offered a placement to starting in a school. 
  • Take the lead on establishing the most appropriate methods to promote and advertise Placements, paying regard to hard-to-fill areas across, England, Scotland and Wales. 
  • Ensure that all clearance procedures are followed, and that Placements do not start in a school until clearance is gained. (this includes DBS, referencing and mandatory training)  
  • Ensure the confidentiality and appropriate secure disposal of confidential information
  •  Ensure clinical team keep the Counsellor on Placement Co-ordinators up to date on range of qualifications that are accepted, for someone to come on a placement.
  • Produce data for clinical managers on the top training providers, including year-on-year comparisons. This is to help focus where we prioritise building relationships at both National and Local levels.
  • Focus attraction and engagement on our hard-to-fill areas, with an aim to meet clinical placement requirements always.
  • Review existing interview assessment process, alongside clinical colleagues, to ensure we are taking applicants through a robust assessment process.
  • Work with clinical management to assessment the eligibility criteria
  • Oversee the production of the monthly Counsellor on Placement Newsletter

Person specification

  • Strong background and experience attracting students or graduate professionals, consistently meeting targets and over delivering
  • Experience of student placements from colleges or universities
  • Experience – Line management of a resourcing team, ideally for graduate or charity volunteers
  • Demonstrates confidence in influencing and explains things well to compel others, fosters a working environment that promotes equality, fairness and respect. Inspires others Sets clear objectives to drive year on year performance improvements
  • Experience of analysing data and management information reporting
  • Experience of DBS/PVG procedures and processes
  • Holds self and others fully accountable for standards of performance Successfully deals with a range of difficult and often complex situations without support or guidance form others.
