I am delighted to be working with a well-established international organisation in search of a temporary Senior Deployment Manager for the charity’s programme to reduce emissions and poverty.
This programme is a bilateral capacity building initiative working with high-emission and high-ambition countries through skill-shares. By working with partner countries, the programme seeks to collaboratively improve the capacity and capability of key institutions (public, private and civil society) to reduce emissions and poverty.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support PA Consulting and CA Project Dir to identify Climate and Energy expertise if/when required
For all new skill-shares, deliver training using online modules and country specific pre-deployment briefing for experts (internal policies and procedures/ ensure GESI is considered across activities/ Q1 MEL output reporting and Cultural Awareness etc…)
Manage experts on assignments
Facilitate and coordinate discussions with counterparts and experts on workplans and lead on scheduling touchpoints. Support and where applicable lead discussion on document translation/simultaneous interpretation services to facilitate meetings and webinars
Work with in-country teams to ensure skill-shares are delivery within scope. Lead on performance management issues, assignment risks and issues. Lead delivery progress update meetings and follow-up actions for EDT
Monitor achieved results, deliverables & GESI levelling reporting with the Oxford Policy Management delivery partner.
Support with the financial and resourcing impacts associated with moving to a hybrid delivery model

REQUIRED SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
Experience in roster management and delivery of associated services, across a wider range of countries, from low-risk to high-risk contexts (East Asia, Latin America, Sub-Sahara Africa).
Understanding of remote team management and the ability to establish appropriate communications mechanisms adhering to established communications policies during pre- deployment and deployment stage.
