Senior Development Manager

Harris Hill are excited to be working with this unique organisation rooted in education and democracy. They are needing a Senior Development Manager to lead their donor programme and to successfully reach their million-pound target. You will be working very closely with the MD to create a truly unique Donor programme. This role is ideal for someone who is working within Major Donor or Corporate Fundraising and are wanting to have autonomy to own and create a program.

This is a homebased role, with occasional travel.

Experience of developing high-value relationships and using major giving techniques to secure income is essential to the role, as are strong written and verbal communication skills. You will also need to think strategically, being able to identify and pursue new funding opportunities, while also organised and flexible enough to respond to the needs of existing supporters. The ideal candidate will be experienced in the full range of development and fundraising activity, from framing long-term strategic planning to grant writing and budget framing to monitoring reporting processes, and maintenance of a fundraising pipeline. The candidate should be able to function in the public, private and non-profit sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivation and stewardship of past, current and prospective donors, including private foundations, government sources, corporations, and HNWI/family foundations and donors;
  • Conduct research to expand current donor base and identify new restricted and unrestricted revenue streams;
  • Facilitate contact and cultivate relations with donors, and lay groundwork for engagement of the organisation's President for potential funding requests;

Salary is between £45,000 - £55,000
