Senior Development Officer - Philanthropy and Corporate

A brilliant international environmental organisation has partnered up with Harris Hill to find them their new Senior Development Officer - Philanthropy and Corporate Foundations. The organisation drives companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests. Working with 650 institutional investors with assets of US $87 trillion.

Main responsibilities for this role are:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with foundations including corporate foundations, other philanthropic and/or individual donors and prospective donors; 
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic cultivation and stewardship plans for prospective donors;
  • Work with program and finance staff to prepare compelling proposals, reports, and collateral materials; and review proposals produced by the organisation's programme teams;
  • Conduct regular meetings and phone calls with prospective funders
  • Maintain a pipeline of funding opportunities and proposals and their statues, and ensure effective systems and processes are in place for managing funder records.


Experience required:

  • Ideally experience of working on 6 figures trusts, but they are really excited to see applications from people with Major Donor and Corporate foundations and Partnerships experience too.
  • Brilliant stewardship and great writing skills too.
  • Able to work and a fast pace and have successful cross team workings.

Salary is £32,000 - £38,000
