Senior Finance Officer

The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for all financial accounting associated with the charity including assisting with the production of budgeting and forecasting reports, monthly reports and accounts. The successful candidates will provide key business and management expertise to the organisations SMT, working with the Finance Director to support the day to day running of the finance department as well as developing systems to drive efficiency.

You will have experience in financial and management accounting processes and a recognised accounting qualification. You will also have experience of working with non-financial colleagues to improve their understanding of finance as well as of using computerised accounting software. And an aptitude for system improvements & developments would be beneficial.


As a charity accounting specialist you will:
- be a strong charity finance all-rounder
- understand financial and management accounting processes (banking, procurement, invoice payment cycles)
- Part Qualified or QBE
- Previous experience of charity budget monitoring
- have experience of SAGE Accounting System
- Strong excel skills
- A strong communicator
- Smartly presented appearance
- Experience of investment property (desirable bonus)
