Senior Grants Programme Officer

Job description

I am currently looking for an experienced Senior Grants Programme Officer for an amazing community development charity. This role is to manage and monitor the charity's funding programmes, providing support to those they fund. This role is particularly focused on the management of financial risk which is an area of increased activity during the disruption caused by Covid19 and its impact on the organisations the charity fund.

Main duties:
Play a key role in managing funding programmes, working with the people, partnerships and organisations they fund.
Review and analyse a range of information including accounts, budgets, plans and reports to assess risk to the programme and take appropriate action to mitigate and manage this in consultation with senior staff.
Develop contacts and maintain communication with grantees and other key stakeholders to provide appropriate high-quality support and guidance.
Carry out quality assurance and review assessments of funding proposals.
Monitor budgets and spend reporting of partnerships through grants.
Support the effective and efficient delivery of the programme in line with the charity's policies, procedures and grant conditions.
Maintain appropriate administration and reporting systems, processes and procedures to ensure the smooth running of funding programmes, including use of bespoke grant management systems.
Act as a team player, contribute to organisational work and initiatives.
