Senior Individual Giving Manager

Job description

A brilliant opportunity for a Senior Individual Giving Manager to join a brilliant children’s and family support charity based in central London. You will be persuasive, strategic, enthusiastic and motivated and be passionate about the cause, and gain buy in from the generous supporter base.  

In this role you will:

-       Develop the growth strategy for Individual Giving – including plans to deliver high quality stewardship to our loyal and generous supporter base, and a structured approach to finding new ways to recruit supporters who can be similarly engaged with our mission

-       Lead and manage the charity’s supporter recruitment programme including development of cold Direct Marketing, as well as building the case for investment in new acquisition channels

-       Lead and manage the charity’s welcome process and warm giving programmes, developing mailings, emails, newsletters and targeted telephone campaigns

-       Lead the growth of the charity’s mid-value giving programme – identifying and upgrading high net worth supporters to mid-level and ensuring their giving programne experience motivates them to continue and increase their giving

The ideal candidate will:

-       Strong experience of managing successful charity Direct Marketing recruitment and retention campaigns in an agency or charity setting

-       Strong knowledge and contacts in the sector, with an up to date grasp of sector developments

-       Numerate with the ability to develop, report against and manage detailed budgets, key performance indicators

-       A strong project manager, able to manage multiple projects including staff, volunteers and suppliers

-       Knowledge of database management, preferably Raisers Edge with experience of exporting data, report writing and running queries

-       Experience of managing and developing staff

Salary: £36-40,000
